2011 Webster Lake Poker Run
Rules and Guidelines for Participants
A Poker Run is not a race. It’s a game of chance and an assembly of vessels of all pedigrees and proportions.
A Poker Run is fun-on-the-water, boating at its most enjoyable, and a chance to renew old acquaintances and make new friends. It’s about a community coming together to enjoy a beautiful lake that is part of their town.
Each boat sets out to find the additional three (3) card stops that have been set up on the lake to add to the two (2) cards that they receive at registration and at the poker run dinner. The person holding the best poker hand is declared the winner.
There are a few Rules and Guidelines we would like everyone to follow:
· DO NOT OPEN YOUR CARD ENVELOPES AT ANY TIME. THEY WILL BE OPENED AT THE POKER RUN DINNER BY THE B.O.W. COMMITTEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
· This is not a race. At no time during a poker run will racing occur between/among participants.
· Attendance at Captains meeting for driver and/or navigator is mandatory, and undivided attention is essential at the meeting.
· Webster has a bylaw regarding alcohol and open containers, please be responsible and act accordingly.
· Every boat must comply with current safety requirements and carry on board required safety equipment.
· Boat entry numbers must be displayed and visible at all card stops in order to receive your cards.
